WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College went 1-1 at its own tri-meet Saturday and improved to 3-16. The Wildcats knocked off Bergen Community College, 29-6, before falling to Alfred State, 35-21.
 
Against Bergen CC,
Deadlocked at 6-6 following two decisions from the Bulldogs, and forfeit to Penn College, Daniel Bergeron put PCT ahead for good with a 17-3 technical fall at 157. Penn College received three more forfeits.
 
Patrick Ostrowky dropped a competitive 3-1 overtime match at 197, while Christian Fox battled in a 6-3 setback at 133.
 
Against Alfred,
Penn College went ahead 6-0 after Jared Mooney earned a third period pin at 197. Dylan Otis made it 9-0 with a 4-2 decision at heavyweight for Penn College, before four forfeits to AS, and one to PCT gave the Pioneers a 27-12 lead after 157.
 
The Pioneers picked up tech falls at 165 and 184, while Nicholas Bruce picked up a first period fall at 174 for Penn College.
 
The Wildcats recognized seniors Ostrowsky and Bruce prior to the match.
 
Penn College returns to action Saturday at York College.
