STATE COLLEGE, Pa. —
After Friday's first round of the Pennsylvania Classic, Penn College's men's golf team shot 315 and was tied for sixth in an 18-team field.
Gavin Baer led the Wildcats with a 77 and was tied for 24
th in a field of 103 individuals.
How it happened: Baer shot 6-over on the par 71, 6,328-yard Penn State White Course. Also for Penn College,
Peyton Mussina shot 78 and tied for 29th, Brady Hardy shot 79 and tied for 34th,
Will Orwig shot 81 and tied for 48th, and
Trevor Keaton shot 84 and tied for 68th. Only the low four scores count toward the team total.
The field: Allegheny held the team lead with 289 and had the top individual in Nadir Kahn, who shot a 2-under 69 after finishing the back nine in 4-under 31.
