Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – It was a big day for Pennsylvania College of Technology women's soccer team freshmen as
Hanna Williams (Marion, N.Y.),
Hailee Hartman (Lampeter),
Angela Maniscalco (Muncy) and
Emily Bell (Jersey Shore) each scored two goals to help their team defeat College of St. Elizabeth 9-0 Saturday. Junior
Alexandra Brennan (St. Clair) scored the remaining goal for the team as they now improve to 4-7 overall and 3-4 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference. Sophomore keeper
Colleen Bowes (Wayne) made three saves for the shutout.
All of the Lady Wildcats' goals came in the first half with Hartman taking a pass from sophomore
Lindsey Bradshaw (Bristow, Va.) in the first. Mansicalco then followed with back-to-back, unassisted goals in the third and seventh minutes. Hartman made it 4-0 in the ninth taking a ball up the side and into the net with help from junior
Laresa Paden (Mifflintown).
Williams netter her first goal in the 12
th shooting a laser past keeper Mariah Lavornia. After Brennan scored in the 13
th, she came back in the 15
th for her second goal of the game.
Bell closed out the scoring in the 21
st and 30
th minutes hitting in crosses, including one from freshman
Rebecca Schweikart (Jersey Shore). In total, Penn College had 32 shots with 18 on goal.
The nine goals is the most this season in a single game for the Lady Wildcats. St. Elizabeth was able to execute a strong trap catching the Lady Wildcats offsides 21 times.
