Penn College Splits with Misericordia

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College split a non-conference tennis doubleheader against Misericordia Sunday. PCT won the men's match 8-1, and dropped the women's 9-0.

The men improved to 4-5, while the women fell to 1-8.

In the men's meet,
Garrett Benner and Nicholas Pascual won No. 2 and No. 3 singles 11-10 (7-5), Will DeMarco and Stephen Helminiak both dominated in No. 4 and No. 6 singles, 10-1, and Ethan Rosler won No. 5 singles 10-5.

Pascual and Blake Whitmire won No. 1 doubles 8-6, Benner and Demarco took No. 2, 8-2, and Rosler and Helminiak took No. 3, 10-1.

In the women's meet,
Jane Herman had the only competitive match at No. 1 singles for Penn College before falling 10-7. The Cougars blanked PCT in all but one of the remaining matches.
