Penn College Inducts 23 into Chi Alpha Sigma

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College recently inducted its fourth class of Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society. The honorees included 23 student-athletes, representing nine teams, 14 different majors, and an average GPA of 3.64.

"Induction into Chi Alpha Sigma is a distinctive recognition of the exceptional gifts, talents, skills, and positive energy our student-athletes bring to our campus, classrooms, and contests," said Penn College Faculty Athletics Representative Tom Zimmerman. "We are honored and proud to recognize them and their achievements."

This year's class joins 64 previously inducted student-athletes. A student-athlete must be in their junior or senior year with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.4 to be eligible.

Penn College is a member of Alpha Iota Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma, which was officially chartered on January 8, 2019, and joins more than 220 Division I, Division II and Division III colleges and universities, including three schools from the United East, in recognizing elite student-athletes who succeed in their sport and in the classroom.
