Wildcats finish 3-1 at Case Western

CLEVELAND, OH -- Penn College finished 3-1 at the Dr. Si Ostrach Duals at Case Western Reserve University on Saturday, defeating Defiance, 36-16, Waynesburg, 48-5, and Adrian, 36-9, and falling to Thiel, 28-23. The Wildcats improved to 5-8 on the season.

How it happened: In competitive bouts against Defiance and Waynesburg, three Wildcats won both of their matches as
Patrick Snoke pinned both of his opponents at 141 pounds and
Noah Hunt, at 149, and
Gabriel Kennedy-Citeroni, at 197, both won with a pin and decision.

The Wildcats picked up two wins by forfeit against Defiance and five wins by forfeit against Waynesburg.

Snoke picked up his third pin to the tie bout against Thiel at 6-6.
Cullen van Rooyen made it 11-10 with a technical fall at 157 and
Mason Leshock made quick work at 165 with a fall in 19 seconds to put PCT ahead 17-10. Kennedy-Citeroni gave the Wildcats a 23-22 lead after a medical forfeit at 197 and Thiel won the match with a fall at heavyweight.

Penn College picked up bonus-point win in the five of the first six bouts.
Ryan Berstler and C.J. Trimber both picked up major decisions, while
Noah Hunt, van Rooyen, and Leshock earned pins and Snoke earned a decision to give Penn College 29-0 lead. Zach Miller's decision at 174 made it 32-0 and Kennedy-Citeroni's major at 197 secured the final points for the Wildcats.
