LANDISVILLE, Pa. — Penn College's third-seeded women's tennis team dropped a
4-0 decision to top-seeded St. Mary's (Md.) College in the United East Championship and finished second on Sunday at the Hempfield recCenter. Penn College closes out its season 9-11 overall, marking a new program record. St. Mary's is 14-4 overall.
How it happened: St. Mary's won three singles matches and two doubles matches for its team points.
On the court: The most competitive matches came in singles for the Wildcats as
Lauren Peck fell at No. 2, 1-6, 2-6, and
Cierra Miller lost at No. 6, 2-6, 1-6.
