Miller was named the Head Wrestling Coach in May 2017

In 2018-19, Penn College went 12-16 and had a program-record four wrestlers (Dylan Otis, Jared Mooney, Dylan Gettys, and Dan Begeron) place in the top six at the Division III Regionals. Miller guided Penn College to a 7-20 dual meet record in his first season, which featured a fourth place finish  at the NCAA Division III Regionals from Jared Mooney - making him the first wrestler in program history to have a podium finish at regionals.

Prior to Penn College, Miller served as an assistant coach for parts of five years at Wilkes University and was the director of the Colonel Wrestling Club. Miller also spent three years as assistant coach at Wyoming Valley West.

Miller was a part of Wilkes’ 2009-10 team that won 22 matches and made its first trip to the national tournament. While at Wyoming Valley, Miller coached three 100-win wrestlers, two state qualifiers, and helped the team to the PIAA State Tournament and a member of the District II Coaching Staff of the Year.

Miller was also the Assistant Director of Residence Life at Wilkes where he worked closely with other members of the Student Affairs staff, Wilkes coaches, and Athletics Administration to provide leadership development opportunities for athletes and other student leaders. His work with student-athletes includes pre-season, in-season, and post-season workshops on personal and team accountability, focused goal setting, and establishing a shared vision for team and individual success.

Miller graduated New York University in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies, where he played baseball for three seasons and earned Academic All-American honors. In 2009, Miller completed his Master’s degree in Education from Mansfield University.
