Cooley joined the Wildcats in 2023-24 after serving as a Volunteer Assistant for Lycoming College for the 2022-23 season, where he assisted in guiding four Warrior wrestlers to the NCAA Southeast Regional Podium.
 
Cooley was part of the resurgence of the two programs he competed for in a competitive, relevant, and storied Williamsport High School program and Division I Clarion University contingent.
 
A three-year starter for the Golden Eagles, Cooley was a key contributor to Clarion’s 2017-18 dual squad that earned a winning record for the first time in the program’s history since 2003. Born and raised in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Cooley graduated from Williamsport High School and became the Millionaire’s first state PIAA AAA medalist in 2015, their first since 1995.
 
Cooley has also spent time conducting private lessons and individual training sessions and played an integral role in mentoring 2023 PIAA AAA State Champion and Penn State Wrestler, Cael Nasdeo.
