Penn College of Technology Athletics

Eric Hunt was named Penn College's Coordinator of Athletic Communications and Club Sports in 2023 and promoted to Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in Sept. 2026.

Hunt is the direct contact for all 14 varsity sports at Penn College and provides development and management of the website, including writing, editing, statistical compilation and execution, publicity, public & media relations efforts. He handles archiving of historical information and records; nominates student-athletes, coaches and staff members for honors and awards; and manages and organizes the athletics communications office.

Prior to Penn College, Hunt spent two years as the Assistant Director of Communications for Division I ASUN Conference. He was the primary media contact for men's soccer, men's and women's lacrosse, and softball and was the conference representative for several championships. Hunt also helped in the conference's website redesign and transition to a new content management system.

Before joining the ASUN Conference, Hunt was a media relations graduate assistant at Division I University of the Incarnate Word where he served as the primary media contact for baseball, men's basketball, men's soccer, and both tennis programs. He revamped team record books and served as the primary statistician for all UIW Athletics home events. Hunt also volunteered as a media coordinator at the 2021 NCAA Women's Basketball Championships hosted by UIW and UTSA in San Antonio, Texas. 

Hunt also had previous stops as the athletics communications assistant for one year at his alma mater, Lycoming College, assisting in the communication efforts of 18 Division III athletic programs, and served as a Sportswriter for four years at the Williamsport Sun Gazette while completing his undergrad.

Hunt was a two-year starter on Lycoming's wrestling team and placed seventh at the NCAA Southeast Regional at 141 pounds. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Corporate Communications from Lycoming and a Master's degree in Sports Management from UIW.
 
Hunt, a Muncy, Pa. native, graduated from Warrior Run High School in 2015, where he was a two-time PIAA state qualifier in wrestling and competed in the pole vault event as a member of the track and field team.

Hunt resides in Williamsport with his wife Alexia, son Kellan and their three dogs.
