Switzer is a First Year Coach and former collegiate pitcher with experience in collegiate baseball, player development, baseball operations, and amateur player evaluation. A native of Millersville, Pennsylvania, Switzer was a varsity baseball captain at Penn Manor before continuing his playing career at Cairn University and Saint Vincent College most recently throwing in 13 games last year. His experiences as a collegiate athlete have given him a strong understanding of preparation, competition, team culture, accountability, and the day-to-day demands of collegiate baseball.
Beyond his playing career, Switzer has pursued opportunities to develop his knowledge of the game from the coaching and professional side. Through his work with Prep Baseball, he gained experience in event management, content creation, baseball data collection, and amateur player evaluation. As a coach, Switzer is passionate about player development and combining traditional coaching principles with data, technology, and individualized instruction. His goal is to help athletes maximize their potential both on the field and as people while continuing to build a career in coaching and player development.
