Tom Leeser, of Milton, the boys track and field coach at Milton High School for 19 years and its boys and girls cross-country coach for eight seasons, was named the Penn College head men’s and women’s cross-country coach in July 2023.

Leeser maintained the Wildcats' United East dominance in the fall of 2024 as the men's team won its second consecutive Conference Championship and Leeser was named Coach of the Year. The men's championship squad boasted a program-best nine all-conference selections including four first-team, three second-team and two third-team selections. The women's squad also made a program-first, finishing fourth overall as four Wildcats ran to all-conference considerations. At the championship meet, the Wildcats swept both the men's and women's Elite 20 awards as Matthew Woolcock and Kayleigh Miller earned the recognition for the top student-athlete with the highest GPA competing in the championship races.

Leeser elevated the men's cross country program in just his second year to claim the United East Championship. Leeser guided all five point-scoring runners to All-Conference accolades including three first-team awards, and two third-team awards while also being named United East Coach of the Year. Leeser also coached two women's cross country all-conference runners in freshman Elaina Brady (second-team) and senior Skyelar Splain (third-team).

In Leeser's first season, Penn College finished third in the men's United East Championship and had two first team all-conference selections - including the Rookie of the Year.

Leeser retired as a mathematics teacher from the Milton Area School District and earned his degrees from Penn State and Bucknell universities.

A 1982 graduate of Milton High where he competed in track and field, Leeser helped produce numerous Heartland Athletic Conference-Division II- and PIAA District 4 Class AA-championship teams along with conference, district and state individual champions during his stint as the boys head coach that ended in 2019. At one point, his track team won 43 consecutive dual meets. His cross-country teams claimed one district title and was a runner-up twice.
