Geoff Hensley was named head men's basketball coach at Penn College, in June 2018.
 
Hensley spent the past four seasons as the head coach at Thomas College (Maine), where he compiled a 55-52 record and led the team on four trips to the North Atlantic Conference playoffs, as well as a 2017 appearance in the NAC championship game. He coached five all-conference selections during his tenure and was 41-31 in conference play.
 
Prior to Thomas College, Hensley was an assistant coach at Centre College (2012-2014) and Springfield College (2010-2012). At Centre, he helped guide the team to two tournament championships and a pair of berths to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
 
As a player, Hensley was a four-year starter and two-time team captain at Norwich University, where he was a three-time all-conference first team selection and the conference Rookie of the Year in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from Norwich in 2006 and a Master of Education degree in Physical Education in 2012 from Springfield.
  
Following his graduation from Norwich, Hensley spent four years as an active-duty U.S. Naval Officer. During his first tour, he was a division officer on the USS Blue Ridge; he served as a division officer on the USS Doyle during his second tour.
