Men’s Soccer: Smith Notches Two Goals in Win Against Lancaster Bible

Box Score LANCASTER – Senior Tristan Smith (Sandys, Bermuda) scored two goals to help the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's soccer team defeat Lancaster Bible College 3-1 Saturday.  Junior keeper Hector Guerrero (Mexico City, Mexico) made 13 saves as Lancaster Bible (7-5-1, 3-2-1 NEAC) totaled 27 shots in the game.  With the win, the Wildcats now improve to 6-7-1 overall and 3-4-1 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.

Smith opened the game in the 28th taking a cross from junior Luke McFalls (Oxford).  The goal would hold as the Wildcats went into the half with the lead.  For the period, Lancaster Bible showed more offense with 13 shots to Penn College's seven.

Smith needed only five minutes into the second half to score his second goal, this time off a cross from junior Ronald Garcia (Brentwood, N.Y.).  In the 56th, freshman Taylor Fegley (Millerstown) scored his first career goal for the Wildcats redirecting a shot from Garcia.

Josiah Groff gave the Chargers some hope in the 79th scoring on a penalty kick to make it 3-1 but Guerrero made four more saves in the game for the win.

Next up, Penn College travels to Moravian College on Tuesday, Oct. 14 for a 4 p.m. match.
