Tristan Smith (Sandys, Bermuda). The game looked to end in the team's favor but a goal in the 83
rd sent it into OT. Junior
Hector Guerrero (Mexico City, Mexico) totaled six saves in the loss that drops to team to 5-7-1 overall.
Both team's had strong chances in the opening period but it was King's that outshot the Wildcats 11-8. Guerrero made three saves in the period.
Just 11 minutes into the second half, Smith was taken down into the box earning him the penalty and eventual goal. King's stepped up the urgency outshooting Penn College 12-4 in the half but were unable to get past the defense until the 83
rd when Raul Cruz broke through off a pass from Kevin Hopkins.
After regulation ended, Hopkins needed little time taking a cross from David Stroh for the game winner.
In the game, the teams together totaled 36 shots, but had trouble finding the goal with only 14 on goal.
Next up, Penn College travels to Lancaster Bible on Saturday, Oct. 11 for a 3:15pm match.
