Box Score SELINSGROVE, Pa. – King's College broke away from a close game in the first half to hand Penn College a 87-50 loss in the Pepsi Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Susquehanna University Friday in a non-conference men's basketball game. The Lions remained unbeaten and improved to 2-0, while the Wildcats fell to 0-2.
James Boylan led Penn College with 11 points and
Nathaniel Brown scored nine off the bench. Boylan and
Ezra Adams grabbed a team-best five rebounds for the Wildcats.
King's College had three players reach double-digits, led by Chris Fazzini's game-high 16 points. Nate Oliver added 14 points for the Lions and Dan Barner chipped in with 12.
Marquis Delgado scored five of the Wildcats first 10 points to give PC a 10-8 lead five minutes into the game. After the game was tied five times in the next four minutes, King's pulled away after an Oliver trey gave it a 24-20 advantage with 10:22 left before the break. The Lions led 47-32 at halftime.
The Lions never looked back and shot 46.7% in the second half, on 14 of 30 shooting and held the Wildcats to 20% from the field.
Penn College takes on Penn State-Scranton in Saturday's 1 p.m. consolation game.
