Wildcats Drop Decision to Abington

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn State Abington dealt Penn College a 90-64 setback in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Tuesday. The Lions improved to 3-2, NEAC, 4-8 overall, while the Wildcats dropped to 1-6, 2-9.

Nathaniel Brown paced Penn College with 13 points and Thomas Ross added 11 points and grabbed a team-best 11 rebounds.

Max Alton scored a game-high 31 points for Penn State Abington, Josh Bair added 19 and Dequan Jackson finished with 13 points and 14 rebounds.

The Lions took an early 10-5 lead before Penn College netted four straight to pull within one, 10-9, with 16:57 left in the first half. Abington used an 11-2 run to separate itself from the Wildcats before leading 53-30 at the break.

The Lions lead never dipped below 18 in the second half and they lead by as many 28 in the final period.

Penn College returns to action Jan. 22, 8 p.m., hosting Bryn Athyn.
