Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Gallaudet handed Penn College a 68-49 loss in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Saturday. The Bison improved to 3-1 NEAC, 7-3 overall, while the Wildcats fell to 2-9, 1-4.
Kevin Laurence-El was the only player in double figures for Penn College with a team-best 10 points. He also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Ben Coleman netted a game-high 18 points for Gallaudet, Trey Gordon finished with 16 and Josh McGriff added 11.
Gallaudet opened the game with an 8-0 advantage en route to a 15-4 lead with 12:08 left in the first half. Penn College responded with an 8-0, on six points by Laurence-El and two from LaQuinn Thompson, to get within three, 15-12, with eight minutes left before halftime. The Bison answered with a 10-0 spurt to separate themselves and held a 40-19 lead at the break.
The Bison led by as many as 29 in the second half and never their lead dip below 19.
Penn College returns to the court Sunday, 2 p.m., at Wilson College.
