ABINGTON, Pa. – Penn College concluded its season with a 1-1 double overtime draw against Penn State Abington in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats wrapped up their season at 4-7-1 NEAC, 6-12-1 overall, while the Lions ended at 4-5-3, 6-7-3.
Penn College made the most of its four shots in regulation when
Robert Klingerman booted the ball in the top right corner in the 53
rd minute. The Lions evened the game with three minutes remaining on a Richard Domico score.
The Wildcats outshot Abington 3-0 in the first overtime, while the Lions held a 6-0 edge in shots in the second overtime. Attempts by
John Michael Sabga, Klingerman and
Quin Cleis were all saved in the first overtime, while
Malcolm Kane stopped three shots in the second extra period.
Abington held a 25-7 shot advantage and 8-4 in corners.
Kane finished with 11 saves, while Jose Arroyo stopped six shots.
