CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – Penn College snapped a three-game skid with a 4-1 win over Summit University in a non-conference women's soccer match Tuesday. The Wildcats improved to 10-8 and became just the second squad in program history to reach double digit wins.
Penn College struck early when
Jane Herman sent a pass to
Tiffany Brown in the first minute to take a 1-0 lead. Following a score by the Defenders in the sixth minute, Brown scored her second goal when she finished a pass from
Hailee Hartman in the 13
th minute.
Hartman later found
Alexis Trkula in the 52
nd minute to make it 3-1 before Trkula returned the favor with a pass to Hartman in the 56
th minute.
Hartman has 14 goals, 6 assists and 34 points this season. She is one goal shy of tying
Robyn Beddow '16 for the program record for goals (15) in a season and a point short of evening Beddow for points in a season (35).
Penn College outshot Summit 15-9 and held a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Colleen Bowes finished with six saves for the Wildcats.
Penn College wraps up the regular season Saturday, 1 p.m., hosting St. Elizabeth.
