AURORA, N.Y. – Penn College dropped a 3-0 decision to Wells College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's soccer match Sunday. The Wildcats fell to 1-6 NEAC, 2-10 overall, while the Express improved to 5-1-1, 7-2-2.
Wells took an early 1-0 lead when Adam Whitaker struck in the eighth minute before Tyler Adams made it 2-0 with a goal in the 43
rd minute. Penn College managed just one shot on goal in the first half when
John Murray's header was saved in the 28
th minute.
Christian Garavito made it 3-0 in the 66
th minute, while the Wells defense held the Wildcats to no shots on goal in the second half.
Wells outshot PCT 27-4 and held a 12-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Hunter Gosnell picked up nine saves in goal for Penn College, while Owen May picked up one save.
Penn College returns to the pitch Sunday, 2 p.m., hosting Keuka.
