Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College picked up a big 2-0 North Eastern Athletic Conference win over Keuka College. With the win the Wildcats improved to 8-5-1 overall, 7-1 NEAC, while the wolves dropped to 7-4, 6-2.
The visitors from Keuka College controlled the pace early, but a strong defensive effort by the Wildcats keep the game scoreless. The insertion of
Hailee Hartman in the 22nd minute provided a spark for the Wildcats. Hartman was fouled inside the 18-yard box in the 25th minute, which lead to penalty kick.
Jane Herman converted the penalty kick to give PCT a 1-0 lead. Less than two minutes late
Alexis Trkula added an insurance goal for the Wildcats.
Keuka out shot Penn College, 10-8, the Wolves also held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Colleen Bowes played a strong game in goal for the Wildcats. Bowes was aggressive all day, coming off her line many times to break up dangerous crosses.
Bowes stopped two shots in goal for Penn College, while Samantha Friend picked up four saves.
Penn College returns to action Saturday, 1 p.m., at SUNY Cobleskill.
