Wildcats Bow in NEAC Semifinals

READING, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 7-0 decision to defending NEAC champions Penn State Berks in the North Eastern Athletic Conference women's soccer semifinals Saturday. The Wildcats ended their season at 11-9-2, while the Lions advanced to Sunday's championship game opposite Lancaster Bible.

Lizzie Mummau added two goals in the first half for Berks to make it 2-0 at halftime. Caitlin Golden struck in the 49th minute to make it 3-0, Mummau made it 4-0 in the 50th, Kaylie Smucker added a goal in the 56h, before Golden netted another shot in the 59th and Nicole Brigante scored the final goal in the 70th minute.

Morgan Brooks picked up Penn College's lone shot in the 54th minute but her attempt was saved by Kaylee Frapaul.

Berks finished with 21 shots and five corners.

Penn College keeper Colleen Bowes stopped eight shots.

Penn College finished the season with several program records. The Wildcats won the most regular season games in program history, had a record four players named All-NEAC, and junior Hailee Hartman set the high mark for points in a season with 37.
