WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Keuka used a 40-point second half to knock off Penn College 74-54 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Sunday. The Wolfpack improved to 6-15 overall, 5-10 NEAC, while the Wildcats fell to 3-16, 3-13.
Alicia Ross scored a game-high 21 points for Penn College and added five assists, four rebounds and three steals.
Jamie Steer scored 16 and
Danielle Mowery finished with 12.
Katie Stuart pumped in 18 for Keuka and Courtney Boyea finished with 16.
The first quarter featured two deadlocks before Penn College took its final lead of the first, 13-11, on a pair of Ross free throws with 2:51 left. The Wolfpack finished off the first with a 7-3 run to lead 21-16. The Wildcats evened the game three more times in the second quarter and took a 30-29 lead after Mowery's trey with 2:42 left before Keuka led 34-30 at halftime.
Keuka opened the second half with a 14-2 scoring run and never looked back, leading by as many as 21 in the second half.
Penn College returns to action Tuesday, 7 p.m., at Lancaster Bible.
