LANCASTER, Pa. – Penn College fell to No. 15 Lancaster Bible College 98-72 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Monday. The Wildcats concluded their season at 3-21 overall, 3-15 NEAC, while the Chargers remained unbeaten at 25-0, 18-0.
Kevin Laurence-El led Penn College with game-high 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
Marquis Delgado added 16 points,
Laquinn Thompson pumped in 15 points and pulled nine rebounds and
Thomas Ross finished with 13 points.
Jordan Mellinger, Herbie Brown and C.J. Dunston each scored 15 points for LBC, Jon Bird added added 13 and Bryce Williams and Dondre Perry both netted 12.
Trailing four early in the game, Penn College answered with buckets from Laurence-El and
Joseph Mangiero to even the game at 8-8 with 15:20 left in the first. The Wildcats took its first lead a minute later on a Ross trey to make it 13-10 and its final lead, 17-16, on a Laurence-El layup with 11:51 left. LBC quickly answered and led 49-22 at halftime.
The Chargers led by as many as 39 in the second half and its lead never dipped below 20 the remainder of the game.
