WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College split a pair of North Eastern Athletic Conference softball games with Keuka College Wednesday. The Wildcats lost the first game 3-0, before winning the second 7-4.
Penn College improved 6-2 NEAC, 12-11 overall.
In game one,
After two scoreless innings, Keuka add a run in the third and fourth innings, and one more in the sixth.
Penn College outhit Keuka 8-4, led by a pair of hits from 
Taylor Krow and 
Kelsey Gantz.
Amanda Kustanbauter fell to 5-5 after a complete-game four-hitter. She allowed three runs (two earned), struck out five and walked just one.
In game two,
After the Wolfpack jumped out a 3-0 lead in the first inning, Penn College scored seven straight runs over the next six innings.
Maddie Wenk got a run back in the bottom of the first when her single plated Krow.
The Wildcats added three runs in each of the fifth and sixth innings.
An error in the fifth scored Krow to make it 3-2 before 
Kelsey Gantz ripped a two run triple to center – scoring 
Nicole Lo Furno and 
Sophie Coldsmith – to give Penn College a 4-3 lead. The Wildcats added three insurance runs in the sixth when an error plated 
Tiana McCormick, Coldsmith brought in 
Samantha Hill on a sacrifice to right and Lo Furno knocked in Krow with single to right.
Lauren Stehman improved to 3-3 after five innings. She allowed three runs on six hits, struck out three and walked three. Kustanbauter picked up her first save this season, closing the last two innings with zero runs on two hits.
Penn College returns to action Friday, 3 p.m. at Cazenovia.
