AURORA, N.Y. – Penn College finished its 2016-17 season with a 66-36 loss to Wells College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Saturday. The Wildcats concluded the season at 3-22 overall, 3-17 NEAC, while the Express improved to 11-12, 10-8.
Jane Herman earned her sixth double-double of the season with 11 points and a team-high 10 rebounds.
Gwendolyn Lavelle finished with 12 points and
Maddie Wenk added nine points and eight rebounds for Penn College.
Ashida Cooper scored a game-high 23 points for Wells and Kamarie Maturine finished with 20 points and 11 boards.
Wells built a 26-13 lead after the first quarter and led 39-22 at the break. The Express finished off the second half with a 12-3 third quarter and edged the Wildcats 15-11 in the fourth.
