MORRISTOWN, N.J. – Penn College fell to College of Saint Elizabeth 68-55 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Saturday. The Wildcats fell to 3-17 overall, 3-13 NEAC, while the Eagles improved to 14-8, 12-5.
Jane Herman reached double-digits in scoring for an eighth straight contest with a career-high 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to record her fourth double-double this season.
Gwendolyn Lavelle finished with 12 points, and
Tiffany Brown scored a career-high 10 for the Wildcats.
Damaris King scored 16 for CSE, Donnae Days added 12, and Jasmine Poole pumped in 10.
The Eagles set the tone early in the game with a 26-10 advantage in the first quarter – including a 14-0 lead to start the game -- before leading 36-22 at halftime. PCT got as close as seven, 26-19, on a Brown jumper early in the second quarter.
The Wildcats outscored CSE 15-14 in the third and drew even, 18-18, in the final quarter.
Penn College returns to action Monday, 6:30 p.m., hosting Misericordia.
