Williamsport, PA - A balanced offensive attack helped Penn College pick up a 4-2 non-conference victory over Penn State Altoona. With the win the Wildcats improved to 2-2-1, while the Lions fell to 1-3-1.
Olivia Murgo was the first of four Wildcats to score on the day when she found the back of the need on a cross from
Hailee Hartman in the 28
th minute.
Ashley Donat finished off a Fran Timpone corner kick to score the second Penn College goal in the 40
th minute. Timpone also assisted on
Jane Herman's goal in the 55
th minute.
Audrey Bowser capped off the scoring for Penn College with a beautiful strike from the left corner of the 18-yard box.
Soshana Mahoney scored both goals for Penn State Altoona.
The Wildcats dominated the game statistically. Out shooting the Lions 21-9 and holding a 13-0 edge in corner.
Millie Landry picked up the win for Penn College. Landry held Altoona scoreless in the first half.
Penn College returns to action Tuesday, 4 p.m. at Penn State Harrisburg.
