Williamsport, PA – Penn College defeated Delaware Valley 3-0 Friday to pick up their first victory of the year. The Wildcats improve to 1-3 with the win, while the Aggies fell to 1-2.
Penn College opened the scoring when
Chris McFarland slotted a pass to
Daniel Hibbs who beat the goalie from 15 yards out in the 19
th minute. The second Wildcat goal may have been the most beautiful goal of the Mensch era.
Austin Dowrick converted a bicycle kick from 8 yards out to give Penn College a 2-0 lead.
Adam Heintzelman rounded out the scoring for the Wildcats with a goal in the 63th minute.
Penn College held an advantage in all the statistical categories. The Wildcats out shot the Aggies 14 to 13 and held a 6-3 advantage on corner kicks.
Malcolm Kane stopped all four Delaware Valley shots on goal for his first win and shut out of the year.
Penn College returns to action Monday, 7 p.m., hosting Pitt Greensburg.
