Wildcats rally late, beat Chargers

Box Score LANCASTER, Pa. – Penn College picked up a key NEAC win Wednesday over Lancaster Bible College, 2-0.  The Wildcats improve to 8-3 overall, 6-1 NEAC, while the Chargers drop to 4-6-1, 3-3-1. 
 
The first half was a back and forth battle as both teams struggled to get on the board early.  Both teams finished the half with 6 shots while the Chargers held the edge in corner kicks 2-0. 
 
The second half was a different story as the Wildcats turned up the intensity offensively and were able to get on the scoreboard when Dominque Brown scored in the 78th minute on an assist from Kaelan Cronan.  Less than 3 minutes later, Cronan tallied another goal for the Wildcats on an assist from Megan Bugbee
 
Lancaster Bible was unable to respond as the Wildcats secured the victory and Taylor Gonzales picked up another shutout win with 5 saves. 
 
Penn College returns to action Saturday, October 13, at 1 p.m., hosting NEAC opponent Morrisville State College.
