Wildcats come up short to River Hawks

Box Score Selinsgrove, Pa. – Penn College dropped a tough, non-conference match 4-0 at Susquehanna University Wednesday.  The Wildcats fell to 7-2, while the River Hawks improved to 9-1-1.
 
The first half was a back and forth battle as both teams struggled to get on the board early.  Susquehanna outshot the Wildcats in the first half 16-1.  In the second half, Susquehanna tallied the first goal of the game by Anna Werner in the 52nd minute.  The Wildcats were unable to respond as the River Hawks added three additional goals. 
 
Susquehanna outshot Penn College 37-4 and held a 13-1 advantage on corner kicks. 
 
Kaelan Cronan led the Wildcats attack with three shot attempts and Taylor Gonzales turned away eighteen shots on goal. 
 
Penn College returns to action Saturday, Oct 6, at 1:00pm when the team faces off against Cazenovia College.
