MONTCLAIR, N.J. – Moravian benefited from a 52-point first half on its way to an 89-64 win over Penn College in the second day of the Ollie Gelston Classic at Montclair State Saturday. The Wildcats fell to 0-4, while the Greyhounds improved to 2-2.
Ryan Lockman scored a career-high 26 points, on 12 of 14 shooting, and grabbed 11 rebounds to earn his first double-double this season.
Cameron Gloster netted a career-high 14 points,
Ben Sosa finished with 11 points and eight boards, and
Imari Walker reached double-digits for the first time in his career with 10.
Oneil Holder led four Moravian players that reached double figures with 17 points.
The Wildcats kept it to a two-possession game during opening five minutes of the game and made it a one-possession game on Lockman's layup with 15:25 in the first to make it 14-12. The Hounds answered with a 16-0 run en route to a 52-29 halftime lead.
Moravian outscored Penn College 37-35 in the second half.
The Wildcats return to action Nov. 26 hosting Lycoming College at 6 p.m.
