WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College couldn't maintain a six-point first half lead and dropped a 75-67 decision to Penn State Berks in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Wednesday. The Wildcats fell to 0-3 NEAC, 0-8, while Nittany Lions improved 1-2, 1-9.

 Jeff Nixon paced Penn College with 16 points, Ryan Lockman added 12, and Imari Walker and Ben Sosa both finished with nine.

Matt Seip scored a game-high 23 for Berks, Latrell Carroll added 19, and E'drise Hightower finished with 15.

Penn College took its largest lead, 14-8, on Imari Walker's three with 13:43 left in the first half before the Lions rallied to pull within one, 16-15, with 11:23 on the clock. Penn College answered with a 10-3 run and led 26-19 on Sosa's layup with 6:02 before the break. Berks got as close as two, 29-27, with 1:32 left before Spencer Bartron and Nixson scored to give Penn College a 33-27 lead at the break.

The Wildcats held a two-possession lead in the opening five minutes of the second but Berks drew even, 37-37, at 15:00. Penn College took its final lead, 41-39, at 13:41 on a Walker layup before the Lions pulled away with a 13-4 run to take a 54-43 lead with 7:52 remaining in the game. Berks held at least a two-possession lead the remainder of the game.

Penn College returns to action Saturday, 2 p.m., hosting Clarks Summit.
