MARCY, N.Y. – SUNY Poly handed Penn College a 62-49 setback in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Sunday. Penn College fell to 1-13 NEAC, 2-20 overall, while Poly improved to 13-1, 17-6.
Jane Herman and
Tori Wolfe led Penn College with 13 points, and Herman grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Khristaijah Jackson led Poly with 18 points and Rylie Smith finished with 14.
Poly built a 19-6 lead after the first quarter and led by double-digits en route to a 33-21 halftime lead. Penn College got as close as seven, 34-27, on a pair of
Cassi Kuhns layup early the third before Poly ended the quarter ahead 51-28.
Penn College returns to action Wednesday, 8 p.m., hosting Keuka College.
