Penn College’s Rallies Late; Falls to Berks in NEAC Title Game

READING, Pa. – Penn College used a late rally to even the North Eastern Athletic Conference Baseball Championship against Penn State Berks in the seventh inning, but the Nittany Lions answered in the ensuing innings to claim the NEAC Title with a 17-12 victory.

The Wildcats wrapped up their season at 20-15.

Berks jumped out to a 7-0 lead with a run in the first and six in the second inning, before Penn College tacked on three in the fourth.

Esposito brought in Riley on a single to center before a wild pitch score Ellerman to make it 11-9. Zelger tied the game with a single through the middle to bring in Lowe and Esposito and deadlock the contest at 11-11.
