Kaelan Cronan broke a 1-1 deadlock in the 101
st minute when she kissed the ball off of the crossbar on a breakaway, and lifted Penn College to a 2-1 double overtime win over King's in a non-conference women's soccer game Friday.
Penn College improved to 1-0, while the Monarchs fell to 0-1.
King's struck just before halftime when the Monarchs capitalized on a failed clear to take a 1-0 lead.
Cronan evened the game with 59
th minute when she deposited the ball to the right side of the keeper.
King's out shot Penn College 23-7 and held a 14-2 advantage on corner kicks.
Taylor Gonzales improved to 1-0 after turning away 10 shots.
Penn College returns to action Wednesday, 7 p.m., hosting Keystone.
