Wildcats Survive Gallaudet in OT, 2-1

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Colton Wartman's goal in the 107th minute lifted Penn College to a 2-1 overtime win over Gallaudet in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats picked up their first win this season and improved to 1-1 NEAC, 1-3 overall, while the Bison fell to 1-1, 2-3.

Deadlocked at 1-1 after regulation and the first overtime period, Austin Dowrick sent a pass to Wartman, who deposited in the bottom right corner.

Gallaudet broke a scoreless tie in the 52nd minute and hurt itself in the 60th when a corner kick by the Wildcats led to an own goal by the Bison, which tied the game at 1-1.

Penn College held a slight edge in shots, 13-12, while the Bison had a 6-5 advantage in corner kicks.

Hunter Gosnell picked up three saves in goal for the Wildcats.

Penn College returns to action Sunday, 1 p.m., in the Battle for the Lumber game against crosstown rival Lycoming.
