WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College knocked off College of Saint Elizabeth 7-1 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats improved to 2-4 overall, 2-1 NEAC, while the Eagles fell to 2-6, 0-4.
Chris McFarland's direct kick in the 23
rd minute gave Penn College a 1-0 lead before
Greg Dorsch's clear led to a one-touch pass from
Vance Gradwell to
Colton Wartman in the 29
th minute to make it 2-0.
Gradwell netted a pass from
Matthew Yoder in the 47
th minute and McFarland found Wartman a minute later to give PCT a 4-0 lead. Wartman connected with Gradwell in the 51
st minute,
Randy Vance converted a penalty kick in the 59
th, and
Austin Dowrick deposited
Cody Schwoyer's pass in the 60
th minute to make it 7-0.
The Eagles added a late score in the 82
nd minute.
Penn College outshot CSE 19-4 and held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Hunter Gosnell turned away two shots in goal for Penn College.
The Wildcats return to action Tuesday, 4 p.m., at Clarks Summit.
