Wildcats Split Weekend Road Contests

Penn College split a pair North Eastern Athletic Conference tennis meets Friday and Saturday against Lancaster Bible College and Penn State Berks.

Against Lancaster Bible College,
Penn College dropped a men's tennis match Friday to Lancaster Bible College, 4-5.  With the loss, the Wildcats fell to 2-3 overall, 0-1 NEAC, while the Chargers improved to 3-1, 1-0. 
 
Will DeMarco, Tucker Phillippe-Johansson and Joseph Morrin picked up key victories in singles competition. But the Wildcats came up short as the Chargers won two out of three courts in doubles matches.    
 
Against Penn State Berks,
Penn College picked up a key men's tennis victory Saturday against Penn State Berks, 6-3.  With the win, the Wildcats improved to 3-3 overall, 1-1 NEAC, while the Nittany Lions fell to 2-9, 0-1.
 
Luke Whitenight, Phillippe-Johansson, Demarco and Blake Whitmire picked up wins in the singles competition, while every doubles team earned wins. Whitenight and Whitmire teamed to win No. 1 doubles, Phillippe-Johansson and DeMarco won No. 2, and Stephen Helminiak and Darien Hively won No. 3.
