WASHINGTON, D.C. – Penn College turned 29 hits into 20 runs to take down Gallaudet, 20-6, in a North Eastern Athletic Conference baseball game Sunday. The Wildcats improved to 8-6, NEAC, 11-19 overall, while the Bison fell to 2-13, 9-27.
Penn College started early with seven runs in the first innings, two in the third, four in the fourth, two in the sixth and eighth, and three in the ninth.
Ethan Ketterman and
Richard Lennon both finished with four hits,
Jacob Carles,
Alex Flicker,
Colton Riley, and
Christian Perna picked up three hits, and
Brittan Kittle,
Jacob Courtley, and
Brayden Lippert finished with two hits.
Kittle picked up four RBI and smacked two doubles, Flicker launched a three-run homer in the first, and Ketterman and Riley each batted in three runs and had an extra-base hit each.
Cody Nelson improved to 3-2 after 3.2 innings on the bump. He allowed two runs (one earned), on three hits, with two strikeouts, and four walks.
Penn College returns to action Tuesday, 1 p.m., hosting Juniata.
