WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College split a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's and women's tennis doubleheader Sunday. The men improved to 3-1 NEAC, 5-3 overall after a 5-4 win, while the women fell to 1-2, 1-5 following a 9-0 loss.
In the men's match,
Penn College picked up four wins in singles competition with victories from
Will DeMarco (6-1, 6-0),
Nicholas Pascual (6-3, 7-5),
Joseph Morrin (7-5, 7-5), and
Stephen Helminiak (4-6, 7-5, 6-3), and sealed the win when Helminiak and
Darien Hively won No. 3 doubles, 9-7.
In the women's match,
Abington swept all of the matches and held Penn College to 10 total sets won.
