WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College dropped an 8-3 decision to Wells College in the first round of the North Eastern Athletic Conference Baseball Championship Playoffs Tuesday afternoon. The Wildcats wrapped up their season at 14-22.
Ethan Ketterman gave Penn College an early 1-0 lead when his single to left in the second brought in
Alex Flicker. Wells used a five-run third inning to take the lead for good, as the Express benefited from three Penn College errors, which led to three of their five runs in the inning.
Wells tacked on another unearned run in the fourth and took a 7-1 lead with a run in the fifth.
The Wildcats made it 7-2 when an error allowed
Cole Hofmann to cross home in the fifth, but the Express got the run back in the sixth with a sacrifice fly.
Colton Riley launched a solo homer to left field in the ninth but Penn College could not generate any more runs.

Richard Lennon, Flicker, and Hofmann all picked up two hits for Penn College, which outhit Wells, 11-7.
Nathan Holt fell to 5-5 after 4.2 innings of work. He allowed seven runs (three earned), on five hits, with six strikeouts, and one walk.
Bradley Walter threw two-thirds of inning, and
Devon Sanders finished the final 3.2 innings, allowing no hits, striking out one and walking two batters.
