WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. –
Dominique Brown scored a career-high four goals and dished out an assist – tying one program record and breaking another -- in Penn College's 6-0 shutout of Gallaudet in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats won their second straight match and improved to 2-3-1 overall, 1-1 NEAC, while the Bison fell to 2-4, 0-2.
How it Happened: Dom Brown scored the first two goals of the match, both on one-touch shots from passes by
Kaelan Cronan in the seventh minute and
Tiffany Brown in the ninth minute. Dom Brown helped out on Penn College's third score in the 20
th minute when her pass found
Erica Gallagher to make it 3-0.
Abby Williams made the highlight reel play of the game when
Adeline Gesford sent a corner kick towards Williams, who buried a jumping back-kick to the back of the net in the 26
th minute.
Ashley Donat connected with Dom Brown on the final two scores of the game, in the 29
th and 56
th minutes.
Inside the Box: Penn College spent much of the day on offense with 43 shots,18 of which were on frame, and 17 corner kicks.
Taylor Gonzales picked up her first shutout this season for Penn College in goal with three saves.
Outside the Box: Brown tied the program record for goals in a game and reset the record for points in a game with nine. Brown's previous game-high for goals in a match was three, which she achieved as a freshman.
