Box Score 2 FREDERICK, Md. – Penn College traveled to Hood College to compete in a non-conference Tri-Meet against the host and Lycoming College Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats fell to the Lycoming, 3-0, and then fell to the host Blazers, 3-0. The Wildcats dropped to 1-13, while the Warriors improved to 10-8, and the Blazers jumped to 1-17.
Game #1: Penn College battled Lycoming College first and dropped three straight sets: 25-13, 25-9, 25-13.

Outside the Box: The Penn College women's volleyball team came up short against Lycoming College.
Hannah Burnett paced the Wildcats with a solid all-around attack with 4 kills, 1 service ace and 6 digs. Mackenzie Mahler dished out a game-high 17 assists. Head Coach
Bambi Hawkins noted, "Our ladies competed hard. With limited players due to injury, we knew today was going to be a challenging test." The Wildcats only used 8 players in the match compared to Lycoming's 14 players.
Game #2: Penn College fell in straight sets to Hood College in the second game of the day: 25-16, 25-15, 25-20.

Outside the Box: The Wildcats looked to bounce back against Hood College in the second game. The Wildcats started to find their groove as they battled the host and looked to play their best in the last set of the day losing 25-20. Burnett continued her strong play with 11 digs, 8 kills, 1 service ace and 1 block.
Peyton Homan contributed to the Wildcats attack with 5 kills and 2 digs. After the game, Hawkins commented, "It was nice to see the team fight through adversity and play a competitive match. Despite the result, we are pleased with the way we competed in a tough environment."
Up Next: Penn College returns to Williamsport to host a Tri-Meet next Saturday, October 5, in Bardo Gymnasium against Gallaudet University at 11:00 AM and Elmira College at 3:00 PM.
