Box Score STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Penn College traveled to College of Staten Island for the second game of the weekend road trip and fell 3-2. The Wildcats dropped to 0-2-1, while the Dolphins jumped to 1-0.
How it Happened: The Wildcats trailed 2-0 at halftime but reached the scoreboard when
Morgan Brooks put the ball in the net off a corner kick from
Adeline Gesford to make it 2-1. The Dolphins added another goal to go up 3-1, but the Wildcats would not go down without a fight. In the 82
nd minute,
Dominique Brown won the ball from the defense on a throw in from
Abby Williams and drilled a shot from the top of the box to get back within one goal, 3-2.
Inside the Box: Penn College out shot CSI 15-14 while the Dolphins edged the Wildcats in corner kicks 7-5.
Taylor Gonzales saved 4 shots in goal for the Wildcats.
Outside the Box: Brooks and Brown each notched their first goals of the season for the Wildcats. Once the offense started clicking, the Wildcats realized how dangerous they can be. Head Coach

Once we started putting the ball in the net on offense and stopped making unnecessary errors on defense, our team really found their groove and played very well."
