MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Penn College's softball team finished their Spring Break trip in style as they outscored Cazenovia College and Dean College 19-0 on Friday afternoon.
Fitchburg State College 6, Penn College 2
How it Happened: Fitchburg State plated four runs in the top of the first inning as Penn College has their bats stymied as they collected only five hits in the game.
Inside the Box:
Jaylynn Cochran picked up two hits for the Wildcats.
Kyla Benner pitched five innings of shut out ball. Benner struck out three while scattering six hits.
Brevard College 3, Penn College 0 (Final 8 Innings)
How it Happened: Brevard College plated three runs in the top of the 8th inning and worked a 1-2-3 bottom of the 8th as they went on to win 3-0.
Inside the Box:
Morgan Heritage was the unlucky losing pitcher in what turned out to be a pitching duel over eight innings. Heritage went all eight innings allowing just two earned runs, while striking out seven.
Gillian Sinnott had the lone hit for the Wildcats offense.
Penn College 10, Cazenovia College 0
How it Happened: Penn College offense pounded out 10 runs on nine hits as they shutout Cazenovia 10-0.
Inside the Box:
Maddie Hurst led the Wildcats at the plate with three hits, three runs scored and two RBI's.
Ivvy Morder recorded two hits at the plate, while
Gillian Sinnott knocked in a pair of runs on a single to left field.
Morgan Heritage picked up her 3rd win of the season in the circle as she picked up a complete game shutout while striking out six batters.
Penn College 9, Dean College 0
How it Happened: The Wildcats exploded for five runs in the top of the 3rd inning en route to a 9-0 victory in five innings.

Lexi Heritage,
Olivia Hemstock and
Gillian Sinnott led the Wildcats from the plate with two hits apiece. Hemstock scored three runs in the game and
Ivvy Morder hit a two RBI double in the first inning. In what will go down as her last game pitched for the Blue and White,
Morgan Heritage picked up her 4th win on the season all while striking out her 300th career batter. Heritage and
Mikayla Aldenderfer combined to throw a two-hit shutout while recording nine total strikeouts.
Up Next: The Wildcats finish their season with an overall record of 5-4. Their season has been cut short due to the Coronavirus and the NEAC canceling all Spring sporting events.
