MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Three different Wildcats netted a second half goal to propel Penn College to a 3-0 win over Morrisville State in a United East women's soccer match Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats improved to 5-7 on the year, 2-3 UE, while the Mustangs dropped to 6-5-1, 1-3-1.
How it Happened: After a scoreless first half,
Teagan Willey punched the first goal of the game to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead in the 58th minute. Just over ten minutes later,
Ashley Donat placed a perfect pass to
Jaci Hunsberger for the score and to extend the Wildcats' lead. With a relentless attack,
BillieGean Hennessy scored the final goal of the game on a pass from
Cassie Johnson to give the Wildcats a 3-0 win over the Mustangs.
Inside the Box: The Wildcats outshot Morrisville, 14-11, while the Mustangs held a 6-4 edge in corner kicks.
Nicole Lichtinger picked up the win with five saves in goal for Penn College.
