Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. – Seven different Wildcats netted a goal to lift Penn College to a 7-0 win over Gallaudet University in a United East women's soccer match Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats finished the season to 6-11 on the year, 3-5 UE, while the bison dropped to 2-11, 0-8 UE.
How it Happened:
Kaelynn Sheetz netted the first goal of the game in the 25th minute as she scored on a rebound off the goalie to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead. Two minutes later,
Shannon O'Day netted a goal on a shot to the right side. Then, in the 34th minute,
Kristina Mease placed a perfect pass to
Ashley Donat for the goal as the Wildcats went into halftime with a 3-0 lead.
The scoring continued in the second half when
Cassie Johnson found
BillieGean Hennessy and she put a header in the net to go up 4-0.
Abby Williams and
Sloane Tressler each netted goals respectively off Wildcat corner kicks. Then,
Kaelan Cronan scored the final goal of the game on a nice pass from
Morgan Feeley as the Wildcats cruised toa 7-0 victory.
Inside the Box: The Wildcats outshot Gallaudet, 35-4, and edged in corner kicks 7-0.
Nicole Lichtinger and
Alicia Passmore each recorded a save in goal for the Wildcats.
