WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College's women's soccer team was awarded the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2020-21 academic year. It was the fourth time the Wildcats received the award since becoming a NCAA program in 2014.

In order to receive the award a team must have a collective 3.0 grade point average or higher. Penn College joined 409 women's teams nationwide that earned the award and were one of 114 schools that had both its men's and women's teams honored.

"I am extremely proud of our accomplishments in the classroom," Penn College coach Christa Matlack said. "Our student-athletes have been dedicated to their academics, and their hard work has resulted in a higher team GPA and a fourth consecutive USC Academic Award. I look forward to their continued success in the classroom this academic year."
